Tiger Food Press has been on a little mental vacation! The weather has been great here in Portland and so I've been spending every available moment outside. Therefore, you haven't missed anything exciting. I've just been finishing job work and trying to scrape by, enjoying my newly planted garden and trying out new beers.
But gardening, riding my bike through dusty central oregon trails and sitting by rivers has to evolve into art eventually, right?
Stay tuned, there's more to come.
UPDATE: I'm doing a little studio diary housekeeping. In fact, I've kind of gone and slashed a great many of my posts and relegated them to the trash. Many of the photos from those posts, however, will be found eventually on my Flickr site.

Clare, I think you might enjoy this info on the history of Crisco...

Some excerpts...
The new product was initially named Krispo, but trademark complications forced P&G to look for another name. They next try was Cryst which was abandoned when someone in management noted a religious connotation. Eventually they chose the near-acronym Crisco, which can be derived from CRYStalized Cottonseed Oil.
Women who use Crisco are portrayed as good wives and mothers, their houses are free of strong cooking odors and their children grow up with good characters (because, according to the tortured logic of P&G’s advertising department, Crisco is easier to digest).
