a story

She rode her bike down to the river at sunset. The balmy air brushed her skin as she stood on the railroad tracks and kicked at the shards of broken glass that lay among the scraps of filthy paper and clumps of dry grass. The rhythmic clatter of truck tires on the bridge deck above echoed against the walls of the buildings below. Across the road, the old iron works shop's wide bay doors lit up in a shower of sparks. As the sky turned the pink of twilight she saw, lying at her feet, a green marble.

OCAC book arts sale - May 15!

The Book Arts Department at Oregon College of Art & Craft is holding a Book Arts Sale on Saturday, May 15th from 11am-5pm.

The sale will take place in the Book Arts studio at OCAC which is located at 8245 SW Barnes Road in Portland.

Handmade journals, boxes, artist books, broadsides, decorative paper, small prints, cards, etc. for sale with prices starting at one dollar!

Proceeds benefit the Student Workshop Fund. There are also sales in ceramics and metals on the same day, so it would be a great time to come visit the campus!

studio, letterpress, bindery and spring

I really can't believe how long I've allowed myself to stay away. April was such a busy month and Tiger Food Press has been very productive. I can't begin to catch up with it all in words, so here are a few pictures for now, and a promise that I'll be back soon with lots of news about what's been happening.
