more exciting fall news

This has admittedly been on the stands since early October. Maybe I've been remiss in mentioning it because it seems so hard to believe! But here it is: Precious' "Minimal" wedding invitation design, printed at Tiger Food Press, has a full page feature in the fall 2009 Martha Stewart wedding issue. Also viewable online!

This was such a fun invitation style to print! It is soooo minimal that every little printing detail was extra important. There's no room for sloppiness in inking, impression and color matching when you're working with such an intentionally limited palette. The most fun and beautiful element in this suite is the envelope front and flap, which isn't shown in this image, but can be seen at Precious' site here.

well...

The website is indeed up. It's been online for almost a week, but I'm just now getting around to post about it.

View it here: www.tigerfoodpress.com

And on another note, the Book Arts department at Oregon College of Art & Craft will be hosting a "Cheap But Good" book arts sale:

The Book Arts Department at OCAC (Oregon College of Art & Craft) will hold a "Cheap-But-Good Book Arts Sale" on Sunday, October 25th from 10am-3pm. The sale will take place in the Book Arts studio at OCAC which is located at 8245 SW Barnes Road in Portland.

really, really. this time it's true.

For the millionth time, I'm about to announce that my website, the real deal, is almost ready.

This time it's true! I worked all weekend on the galleries - taking pictures while the light was good, editing, tweaking. I still have lots to do, but it will be up (at least in a bare bones form) by Thursday this week! I'm so excited!

On a related note - I've been meaning to mention the totally fantastic logo that Precious designed for me. I'm really thrilled with it. The white knockout version with the perforation graphic is what you see here on my blog and on the banner of my Etsy shop. I'm using the plain black and white version on my website. You can see a little more of its evolution in Precious' notebook on her new website.

I've also just received a huge supply of bookcloth and PVA. I'm going to be binding books and boxes like a crazy woman in the next few weeks!
